How Sterilize.io handles information in its online study service.

Camus LLC operates Sterilize.io. We store your name, email address, password hash, account preferences, study responses, saved questions, flashcard reviews, experience entries, contact messages, and records of your acceptance of our terms. We use session cookies to keep you signed in and temporary tokens for account recovery. Request information helps us limit abuse and maintain the service.
Stripe processes payments and billing details. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, payment status, and billing-period information; we do not receive or store your full card number. A random browser identifier, retained for up to one year, and server-side question counts help prevent repeated free previews across accounts on the same browser. Request information also supports account-creation rate limits.
We use this information to provide your account and study tools, show study activity, respond to support requests, recover account access, and protect the service. Experience entries are a personal planning log and are not sent to HSPA. Do not enter patient information or sensitive workplace details.
Microsoft Azure hosts the application and its database in United States regions. Brevo processes recipient details and email content to deliver account, recovery, and support messages. Password reset messages contain a temporary recovery link. Authorized operators can access information needed to support and maintain the service.
Account and study records remain stored to support your use of the service. Database backups support recovery and may retain earlier copies after records change. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, email contact@casetheory.org. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before handling a request.
